Hi! I’m Andrea

I am a booknook craftsman. Many people ask me how I discovered book nooks. I have been a creative person my entire life and have explored MANY different creative outlets. In the recent years, I have dabbled in woodworking, pottery, gouache painting, plaster art and even swing dancing (which I still enjoy). In 2020, I discovered book nooks and it was a lightbulb moment for me! As a lifelong lover of fantasy, crafting these tiny worlds feels like a way to bring a touch of magic into my own home. Creating these miniature pieces brings me so much joy and I am so excited to share them with you!

Creativity

As an artist, of course I believe in creativity! Believe it or not, I haven’t always recognized my own. I believe that we all have creativity; we just express it in different ways!

Joy

I love to bring small and big moments of joy into my life everyday. Making book nooks brings so much joy into my life. Getting to share them with you feels like spreading that joy to the world.

Magic

I believe in looking for magic in your everyday life. Whether it is 11:11 on the clock or the coincidence of running into a friend, believing in magical moments has enriched my life.

General FAQs

Nope! My pieces are all handmade by me.

Yes and no! I don’t sell all of the pieces that I make simply because I want to keep them for myself! I will make some of my pieces available for purchase on my website but it is infrequent and inconsistent. Make sure to follow me on Instagram, TikTok or subscribe to my email list to hear when a new piece is available.

I am located in California. I have not previously shipped internationally but I am open to it. I would work to ensure that the nook is packaged safely.

Can I? Probably. Will I? Maybe.

I have MANY book nook ideas that I would love to create. Many of you have shared some amazing ideas with me as well! Keep an eye on my blog and social media to stay up to date with my new projects. If you are interested in commissioning a piece, please see my commission FAQs below.

Totally understand this question and I wish the answer could be more straight forward. Depending on demand, hours put in and complexity of the piece, they can range from $1,500 to $7,500. My commissions are typically more expensive than the pieces that I make available on my website due to the customization of the piece.
